Why This Tour Is Special

- The busiest shipping channel on Earth – Witness the incredible traffic of tankers, container ships, and barges passing through the narrow Lamma Channel, the gateway to the Pearl River Delta.
- Exclusive access inside the port – Our boats Jungle Jane and Tarzan have special permission to navigate inside the container ship terminals – no other public tour offers this.
- Perfect balance of education and fun – From shipping enthusiasts to complete newcomers, everyone leaves raving about the experience.
What You’ll See
- The danger zone among the barges – where smaller vessels weave around giants of the sea.
- The Lamma Channel – the single entry point for ships heading into Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta.
- Mega-ships being loaded and unloaded by towering cranes.
- Tugboats, refueling ships, and pilot boats in action.
- Fascinating stories of containerisation, pirates, storms, and the human side of global trade.

A Personal Story
The Hong Kong Container Port Tours have always been run by the family behind HK Yachting. Created and operated for years by James Hargraves, the tours became a local favourite until his tragic passing in 2020. His wife, Jessica Hargraves, returns to Hong Kong to continue the tours and share his legacy. They are only run when she visits so get booked in when you see new dates pop up.
Jessica, an Australian sailor with over 15 years of experience in Hong Kong, helped bring the yachts Jungle Jane and Tarzan here from Australia. Today, she carries on James’s vision — offering guests not just a tour, but a deeply personal and unforgettable insight into Hong Kong’s maritime world.
